Man, wished Dr. Tracey was my doc. It is impossible to get quality treatment and/or care. I eventually just gave up and just have to suffer, have no other choice. Feel like most doctors only want that first 5 minutes with you so they can get their payment then see ya in 3 months for the same thing. Repeating process. And people wonder why you’re not trying to get help. I know all doctors aren’t like that, Dr. Tracey is the exception. Wished all doctors were created phenomenal like she is. You’re awesome Dr. Tracey! One of the worst symptom in the depression for me is the EXTREME fatigue, and I mean it is FATIGUE BAD! I was treated for ADHD up until the age of 18, I wonder if mine is related to that. I have never been on or addicted to drugs. I did have an alcohol issue for many many years. I was a weekend binge drinker after 5pm. Never a full blown alcoholic, just the weekend binge drinking. I am almost 12 months sober and BOY I will NEVER go back to ANY alcohol consumption. Sobriety is DEFINITELY worth it. The only thing I wished would go is my depression, concentration, severe procrastination and mainly EXTREME FATIGUE. I exercise, get 7,500-10,000 steps a day, do cardio 2-4 times a day and free weights each week and NOTHING else. I will wake up, extremely fatigue and lay on the couch for 3+ hours before even getting up. I eat clean. I mean i have done EVERYTHING and nothing helps AT ALL! I literally have to force myself to do cardio or workout. I basically force myself to do everything bc I dont have the energy. Wished I could solve this 😢 thanks for the content Dr. Tracey!

FYI seeing this I'm never watching your channel again. I have nothing against better help, I don't know that platform. But you pretending to give a review when it's actually an ad really rubbed me the wrong way. This dishonesty doesn't become someone of your profession.

What if you give a very blunt answer and then this something in your head says, "act normal, say more, she expects to hear more." I tell whatever it is, "more, I answered what else am I supposed to say." And then somehow more of an answer comes out though avoidant of conversation. Didn't really want to go out anyway... I am losing my words. Sorry

I think my partner has this bc he’s always mad at me when I have an issue with something he’s not doing or doing poorly. I believe he sees me as authoritarian and I hate it bc I keep telling him I’m not going to tell him what to do. I’m worried bc he says he loves me but I’m truly unsure if he knows how to love me when he combats me on everything that will improve our relationship.

This habit broke tension for me because my mother was aggressive and mentally ill and I began to compulsively pull my hair, chew on it and to bite my fingernails in a way I feel was compensation for intense nervous tension. Of course, at a certain point it also became a habit.

I must miss something in the logic of the comments. Daylight savings time just adjusts the agreed upon hours of the start and end of sunlight during a specific time of the year. One cannot control sunlight; isn’t this a matter of the rotation of the earth? For example, in the summer we may get three or more hours of sunlight, but that happens whether or not we change the clock. We are just adjusting the time of day we receive daylight based on an artificial setting of the clock. Further, the number of hours depends on location. Perhaps I am missing something. Please comment.

Well, I was diagnosed I guess 7 or 8 years ago with bipolar 2. But it was just now watching this video that I realized that I'm definitely atypical. With the exception of the age of onset, every one of those characteristics match me. But I didn't start feeling this way (as far as I can remember) until my mid-twenties.

A better analogy I learned at university is the horse and the rider. The horse is the genetics, it has its one temperament etc. But the rider is the one leading the horse to a certain place, and it can change the horse a lot. Both interact with each other, but the rider is leading the way.
